Get Up, Yeah!” Dust Traxx Chicago – HOUSE

Dust Traxx returns to the market with yet another hot release from New York City's House of Stank. First up the mighty HiJack (Potty Mouth, Jack Union, Marine Parade...) takes on remix duties and completely destroys it while Stupid Fresh (Toolroom, CR2, Stealth...) follows suit and doesn't dissapoint! ANM018 – Tony Senghore “Anathema” Anonym – ELECTRO HOUSE
It is footloose, forward thinking and quite often a bit odd. Sprinkled with curiosity for exploring new ways to the purpose of making people shuffle their tired feet. Tony has a diverse discography that counts up in the hundreds. It is colourful and full of contrasts. Never reluctant, always different. Out side of his own productions, remix treatment has been given to a wide range of artists like Bodyrox, Audiobullys, Lady Sovereign, Ladytron, Bent, Til West, Portobella, Syndicated People, John Dahlback, and many more.

HOG003 – Miniminds “Overdose” Hedgehog – TECHNO
Miniminds have been making quite a noise over the last year with some sublime releases on Fling Recordings and picking up support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Paco Osuna, Smith & Selway, Stephan Bodzin and Pig & Dan, to name just a few! They continue to do great things with this excellent 2 tracker on Hedgehog, a label previously releasing tracks from Marco Bailey and Pig & Dan.

‘Overdose’ is a dark driving monster, with huge funked out bassline, and builds with eerie synth lines. A sure fire peak-time smasher. This is flipped with ‘Organised Kaos’ a more stripped down Germanic affair. Bleeps and bass are the order of the day here, but still with plenty of wallop to keep the dancefloor heads more then happy. Another great release from the Hedgehog Records camp.

General Release Date 7/7/2009

JEL044 – Umek “Heat Mode EP” Jericho – TECHNO
Jel Ford's Jericho imprint continues its resurgence with a 2 track killer from techno heavyweight, Umek. This will now be Umek's 4th release for this legendary label and it doesn't disappoint. He has been extremely busy releasing material over the last 12 months with superb releases on labels such as Rekluse, Tronic, Circle Music, Renaissance, Audoimatique and Hell Yeah. The 2 tracks here feature some of the best production we've heard in a long time with Heat Mode on the A side being a turbo charged killer with a deadly vocal refrain, precise drums and monster breaks. On the flipside Suitably Devastating is in a similar vein with its punchy drums, driving bass and clever edits. A killer release from an artist on fire!

SPEC0905 – Nihad Tule “Way Of The Lonely Ones” Spectrum (UK) – TECHNO
Nihad Tule has had a busy few months working on new material for Adam Beyer's iconic Drumcode imprint. Luckily he found sometime to deliver Spectrum this masterpiece of dubbed out, deep, melodic techno. Its a beautiful driving track with swirling and rising synth-lines that are ideal for the early morning vibe, but still has enough weight, in the massive bassline and drums to keep the dance floor very happy indeed. Remix duties come courtesy of Jerome Sydenham, another producer making some serious waves at the moment and also awaiting an imminent release on Drumcode. Sydenham, takes key parts of the original and takes us on a tripped out, epic 9 minute journey, with all the subtle hints of Detroit's gold age shining through to fantastic effect. All in all, it's a dynamite release from a new label which has quickly gained masses of respect from DJs, press and punters alike. Go buy it.

Trackitdown Celebrates!

TRACKITDOWN.NET CELEBRATES 5 YEARS WITH A NEW MERCHANDISE AND DJ KIT STORE!

The first dedicated dance download store in Europe comes of age with even more to offer electronic music fans on both sides of the CD decks.

Launching with some of the world’s most popular label brands on board including scene leaders like; Spinnin Records, Lot 49, Virus, Viper, Riot!, Discover, Armada, Dutch Master Works, Soma, Traum and Reinforced Records, Trackitdown.net now carries the worlds most extensive collection of label merchandise anywhere on the planet.

It’s hard to believe how many changes have occurred in the world of music consumption since Trackitdown.net helped start the digital revolution back in 2004. No Facebook, Bebo, Twitter or Myspace existed and the music industry was losing the battle against P2P download websites big time. Since then, Trackitdown.net has helped over 17,000 record labels in all styles of electronic music publish nearly 1 million tracks available to download in the highest quality format for a reasonable price. None of which ever go out of stock!

Fast forward to 2009 and Trackitdown.net has nearly quarter of a million real dance music fans registered as customers and helps to distribute over £1 million back into the industry every year to help producers and labels write and release more great music.

The fifth birthday is the perfect time to launch what is now the third version of the retail store and the Trackitdown.net team are eager for all fans to check out new offerings and features:

On Demand Merchandise department – having soft launched a popular merchandise store at Christmas, the team at Trackitdown.net hunted for great t-shirts and hoodies to sell but found the cupboard bare! The shrinking of record label operations and closure of traditional record stores meant most cool labels could no longer afford to make merchandise to sell despite having masses of fans eager to support.

Trackitdown.net invested in the hardware to manufacture all kinds of merchandise and is proud to partner an incredible range of cult record labels to present their range of clothing to fans all over the world.

With hundreds of other labels waiting to be added to this list, once again Trackitdown.net is helping labels connect with their fans around the world. The store will be updated daily with new labels, clubs, DJs and other brands adding their range to the site.

DJ Equipment – as a trusted source of quality products, Trackitdown.net is now proud to offer a range of the best equipment for DJs, producers and sound systems in the UK.

We stock; Pioneer, Vestax, Rane, Denon, Alesis, Gemini, Citronic, Technics, Sennheiser products for shipment immediately at the best prices online.

With our massive range of sample packs and pre-sets created exclusively by some of the biggest producers in the world it’s now possible to buy the software, download the samples, make the tune, sell it and then play it on equipment all through Trackitdown.net.

We wonder what the next five years will bring, but rest assured, Trackitdown.net will be there at the front of the pack with new innovation to help keep dance music kicking!
