PP015 - Jimmy & Fer Ferrari “Let It Play”
Prosthetic Pressings - TECH-HOUSE
Prosthetic Pressings drops their 15th release and this time we've decided to change things up. Reaching out to Barcelona by way of Argentina we've enlisted the aid of DeepClass Records' head honchos Jimmy & Fer Ferrari who have provided us with some summer time vibes. DeepClass is a deep house label which has been on the scene for the last couple of years and has really been making their mark with Fer Ferrari making his first US appearance at the 2009 WMC to critical acclaim, a European tour set to launch later this summer as well as the brand new weekly DeepClass radio show on Ibiza Global Radio where Fer highlights everything deep and classy.

For this release Jimmy & Fer turned in a deep and techy track called Let It Play and along with the original we've secured a couple of remixes. First up the mighty Land Shark aka Lance Desardi has turned in a remix which is pure heat. He's added a few surpri
ses and created something extra special just for us. Rounding out the package is Barcelona's own Fernanda Diaz aka Rokit-F. Fernanda has gone in a completely different yet refreshingly unique direction with her Rockit Remix. All in all, this is the perfect package to kick your summer off in style.

MKD003 - South Union (aka Fabrice Lig & Jean Vanesse) “On Stage EP”
Melodika Recordings - TECHNO

Melodika Recordings returns with their 3rd release. This time up label head Fabrice Lig has decided to release one of his own projects and you know what that means...pure techno bliss!!! For this release Fabrice drops the On Stage EP which is from his South Union project which is a collaboration between the Soul Designer and Jean Vanesse of Spirit Catcher fame. In 1997, after many common gigs in Belgium, Fabrice & Jean decided to join their production forces to create a new techno project. They recorded a few tracks and signed with Local Records (a sub of Music-Man Records) for their first EP called "Funkanoid"...after a few months and 2 licenses in Germany, they sold more than 5000 copies. From their initial output they gained support from several DJs/producers like Laurent Garnier, Stacey Pullen, Kevin Saunderson etc. Fabrice & Jean have continued to develop their own solo projects like Soul Designer (F-Com) for Fabrice Lig (Kanzleramt/Raygun/Third Ear, Playhouse...) and Spirit Catcher & Only Freak (20:20 Vision/Silver Network/Missive/Freerange) for Jean. They are coming back with the On Stage EP which is a classic and timeless techno project with huge production, solid sound, strong composition and deep but straight to the floor tracks.

DTX057 – Bear Who? “The Beat Box Remixed” Dust Traxx Chicago – HOUSE
Bear Who? That man behind international hit "Fix My Sink" which hit the UK billboard & BBC radio charts for 13 straight weeks, brings his next HUGE collection of future hits entitled "The Beat Box Remixed" to the Chicago based house label Dust Traxx, which in the course of 10 years has managed to release some of the biggest cuts in house music today. "The Beat Box Remixed" is a collection of "futuristic" digital-only remixes from a collection of some of today's hottest artists including Paul Johnson, Gene Farris, Blakkat, Swirl People, Vernon & Dacosta and several others. It's seduction without romance, penetration without pretense, this is the future sound of hip hop with a house edge, let's face it "sweat" (aka sex) sells and that is exactly what you'll get here. Mind crushing pop music from beyond. SB003 – Eskimo Twins “Red Triangle EP” Street Beats – ELECTRO HOUSE
We're really excited about this release, and pleased to have Eskimo Twins on board - a talented duo from Leeds who are making some big waves in the scene. When I first heard lead track Red Triangle it instantly reminded me of certain records that got me into dj'ing & dance music in the first place - I can hear elements of classic tracks like Bambaata's Planet Rock, Hashim's Al Naafiysh and Cybotron's Clear...the pioneering electro sound of the 80's, the Street Sounds Era. Red Triangle...a record for breakdancers & nu-wave ravers in equal measures, and we love it.

On the flipside, Insidious grabs you by the throat and gives you a swift kick in the goolies, a heavy-ass rock n rave track (as much as i hate to use that phrase). Eskimo Twins write fantastic hooks & melodies, dark and sometimes off-key & spooky, but it just works. To me this track screams Justice beats with Queens of the Stone Age vocal & melody...praise indeed. Remixes come from another fast-rising electro startlet in the shape of Jo Kira, who takes elements of Red Triangle and turns out a firing tech-houser with phat tribal drums and bags of for the Space terrace. Insidious gets a right rollocking big-room makeover from Mr Reliable also known as Hostage...someone who has been on our radar and doing good things for several years now...Booom.

Eskimo Twins can be seen playing live up & down the UK and in Ibiza throughout summer. Also look out for further productions on the new Wax:On label and Pieces of Eight Records.

Radio / Club DJ support from:
Zane Lowe - “Love the Insidious record!”
Annie Mac - “Hostage & Jo Kira mixes in my club sets, great stuff!”

Annie Nightingale, Eddie Temple Morris, Boys Noize, Fake Blood, DJ Feadz, DJ Mehdi, Tom Findlay (GA), Herve, Alex Metric, Alfredo, Danny Rampling, Erol Alkan, Justin Robertson, Mark Moore, Gildas (Kitsune), Beni (Kitsune).

AB101 – Juan Atkins & Kimyon “Work For Money feat. Tricia” All About – TECHNO/HOUSE

Techno pioneer Juan Atkins along with rising star Kimyon collaborate to release "Work For Money" feat Tricia with remixes from Alexi Delano, Lars Behrenroth, Luis Baro and Dimitri Max on the newly formed label, All About. Juan Atkins is widely credited as the originator of techno music, specifically Detroit techno as well as the owner of legendary Metroplex Records. He is a constant source of inspiration for many DJ's and producers from around the world. Experimenting with fusing the extra-terrestrial funk of Parliament Funkadelic with the futuristic rhythms and hard math of Kraftwerk and the progressive dance theorems proposed by Giorgio Moroder, the Model 500 12"s laid the blueprint for Detroit Techno. In a recent trip to New York City he collaborated with good friend Kimyon at his Brooklyn studio and "Work For Money" was born. Kimyon is owner and operator of The Muvment, a New York based music and art production-company. The Muvment is responsible for the Tru Skul, Arts Industria and Pockit Rockit event series.

The contemporary electronic All About label was set up by Luis Baro, creator and former program director of XM Satellite Radio channel The Move. Luis is widely known as an event organizer and DJ from Chicago where he played an instrumental roll in establishing the city's famous clubbing institution, Smart Bar along with organizing large scale concert style dance events all through the 90's. In 2001 he moved to DC to run the first 24 hour electronic music culture satellite radio station The Move until Nov 2008 and has currently set up a recording studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn where he is working with many talented individuals. All About's main focus is fusing the Chicago, Detroit and New York sound by collaborating with related artists and pushing the boundaries with subsequent remixes.

ANM019 – Tony Senghore “Avouch/Steam” Anonym – ELECTRO HOUSE

It is footloose, forward thinking and quite often a bit odd. Sprinkled with curiosity for exploring new ways to the purpose of making people shuffle their tired feet. Pugnacious, belligerent and slightly gung-ho with a definite taste for blood. What do we speak of you ask? Well it could only be the music of Tony Senghore. Tony has a diverse discography that counts up in the hundreds. It is colourful and full of contrasts. Never reluctant, always different. Out side of his own productions, remix treatment has been given to a wide range of artists like Bodyrox, Audiobullys, Lady Sovereign, Ladytron, Bent, Til West, Portobella, Syndicated People, John Dahlback, and many more.
